Fantoni Palace, facing the homonymous street with the elegant façade from the XV century, of antique and emblazoned noble residence, became the Salò “House of Culture”.
This is also the seat of Ateneo di Salò, the oldest citizen cultural institution founded in 1564 with the name Accademia degli Unanimi.
The rich archive, guarding centuries of history, and the library, which guards incunabulums and sixteenth century books, is testimony of the ancient and continued commitment of the Ateneo.
Even the historical museum of the Nastro Azzurro, dedicated to the aknowledgement of military service, with heirlooms from the Napoleon age to World War II, it is located in Fantoni Palace where the Civic Library and the Historical Archaeological Association of the Riviera are hosted. Lastly, in the courtyard you can admire various Roman tombstones.
